Destruction Junction... What's Your Function
6:49 PM
You know what time it is?
Definitely NOT go upstairs and finish painting your bedroom ceiling and walls so that you don't have to squish into a queen bed for one more night time.
Nope, it's sit on the couch and share more pictures of our bathroom remodel time.
Yay!!!!
Are you as excited as I am? No? Then why did you click the link I posted to come here and read this? :)
So anyway, in order to CONstruct, one must first DEstruct. Which is exactly what our wonderful remodelers came and did. It probably would've been fun to demo it ourselves but, let's face it people, it's hard enough to get the motivation to finish painting a room after a long day at work so demolition was not in the cards for us. But here is what got done one lovely July day while we were at work...
There used to be a toilet in that corner. And a sink directly to the right of it.
And if you turned around after washing your hands at the sink this is where our way too short shower used to be.
And there used to be a wall and door here to go into the tiny little bathroom.
This was the former dressing area. Don't worry, that wallpaper eventually came down, too.
As did the closet walls / doors.
And here it is looking back through the doorway into the master bedroom. It was nice that this doorway was centered with the window in the room but alas, it is no longer.
Here's the view from our bedroom sans all the crazy doors that we had going on. It's amazing just how big that space actually became once it was gutted.
And all of that crap (except for the vanities that are still sitting in our basement) all went into this little gem that spent a good 3 months sitting in our driveway...
Yep, so that's it folks. Pretty exciting stuff. Now it's time to go warm up some dinner and put my painting clothes back on.
And wait for more pictures of my new baby niece that came last night! As my husband so cutely put it on his Facebook, I would've wished miss Sydney Jane Happy Birthday yesterday... but she waited to tell us until late last night! Welcome to the world, baby girl. I can't wait to meet you!
Oh, and if you missed the before pics of the bathroom, check them out right here!
