Family Visits, Zoom Zoom and a Lunar Eclipse {January}

I know I shared these first pictures on my Christmas post, but this technically took place January 1 so I'm including it here, too!

Snow on the Tortolitas!

Here we were finishing our visit with Uncle Pat & Aunt Amy.

Uncle Kurt sent some awesome Transformers shirts for the boys. They'll likely fit into them in about 10 year... ha!

Cowboy boots for Christmas mean you need mom to make you some makeshift bandannas from fabric she has hanging around. Howdy partners!

The pull up box had been hanging around for a while so it was time to paint the cool pictures inside of it. They dressed as twins completely on their own.

Another day, another hike. Complete with their new hiking sticks from Santa!

While headed back on our hike, we saw Javelinas in the wash. They startled me at first but were very busy eating and didn't seem to be bothered too much by us. You never know what you may encounter in nature in the desert, hence the walking sticks.

We took the boys out for a round of golf!

John got dressed up in his cute clothes from Christmas and wanted to show Nana how good he looked.

He also likes to represent "Daddy's work"...

Embarassingly, it came up when Pat & Amy were visiting that we did not own this movie. So, they sent us one as a post Christmas gift and we watched it almost immediately.

Out for a quick dinner before a streetcar ride and a Roadrunners hockey game that we were gifted by Uncle Kurt for Christmas.

Back to school for Will means waiting at the bus stop with mommy for John. And amazing unicorns drawn by an amazing Kindergarten teacher.

Grandma missed us (and we missed her) so she came for a visit! We took her to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum on a beautiful afternoon.

We headed to downtown Tucson the next morning to check out Zoom Zoom on 6th Ave near the Children's museum. Firetrucks, buses, ambulances, army vehicles, police cars and a quick stop on a pony rounded out the morning for these 2 little boys. We walked to lunch with Grandma after and then to Dillinger Days at Hotel Congress to see some more cool, old time vehicles. It was such a fun, beautiful morning.

Getting to "drive" a car was pretty cool, though!

Grandma was in town and kicked us out of the house for a date night. We didn't complain even a little. Enjoyed a nice evening at Noble Hops with my handsome husband while we ate cheese and had interruption free conversations.

We sent a picture of an Arizona snowman to Grandpa back in WI. He was in Eagle River, WI and they got a lot of snow so he sent us a picture of a real snowman.
